Lessons from the Edge refers to the edge writers, and maybe all creative people, face daily. The edge of quitting, the (sometimes precarious) edge of imagination, the edge of despair, of fame and fortune, of consciousness, and of struggle, which occasionally forces, or gently pushes us into surrender, where real art happens.  Or something like that.
